Constellate is a combined content hub and resource toolkit for text analysis. Researchers have access to over 36 million documents from digital libraries like JSTOR, and can use tools to develop and analyze text databases in a cloud based environment.
Constellate requires users to login for access. For help with creating a constellate account, click here for a step-by-step user guide or follow along below. Note: Constellate works best with Google Chrome and Safari web browsers. Mozilla Firefox may not function properly and is not recommended.
1. Navigate to Constellate.org and click the "Log In" button in the top right of the page (red box):
2. If you have a JSTOR username, you can proceed to logging in with your username and password. If not, you can create an account for free by clicking the "register for free" link (red boxes):
3. Enter in all relevant information to create your Constellate account. It is important to link your Constellate account with NC A&T to ensure full access to the ITHAKA databases. Once registered, an email will be sent to you to complete the registration process.
Now that you are registered, you can login and explore your dashboard. Here you have options for building your own datasets (corpus), exploring and analyzing your datasets with the Constellate labs (in both Python and R environments) as well as many additional tutorials.
