The 2014-2015 Text-in-Community campus read selection for North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University

Peace, Conflict and Gender in Global Perspective

As part of Text-in Community’s year-long University-wide discussions on I Am Malala, this forum explores Global Issues.

It will explore the causes and impact of human trafficking, child soldiers, child labor, global poverty and gender issues.

During the session on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 2:00 to 3:30 in A-218 GCB, there will be three presentations; two by students and one by Dr. Beverly Grier, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

The student presentations are the final project for the course SOWK 360 Introduction to Global Issues.

Each presentation will be about 10 to 15 minutes long followed by a short five minute question and answer session.

At the end there should be about 15 minutes for audience group discussion.
