Center for Early Literacy Learning (CELL)

The CELL website provides early educators with practice guides, audio/visual materials, information posters, presentations, and learning modules for subjects such as everyday activities, adaptations, child interests, responsive teaching, and early literacy learning. 

Get Ready to Read

This resource is sponsored by the National Center for Learning Disabilities. It is designed to support early educators in gaining understanding of early literacy development in young children. The site is very interactive and easy to navigate. The user will find links to early learning news and resources, literacy checklists, booklists, early learning basics, skill building activities, screening tools, and webinars.

Reading Rockets

Reading Rockets is a national research-based initiative focused on helping children develop into confident readers and providing practical advice to early educators in supporting this development. This sites main topics are teaching reading, ways to help struggling readers, reading subjects, and children’s books and authors. In addition, the website includes: research guides and resources, links to PBS suggested television shows, videos, podcasts, and blogs. Teachers will also find web widgets, downloadable material, and reading adventure packets. 

Zero to Three

The Zero to Three website is filled with wonderful resources for teachers who are responsible for supporting the early literacy development of young children. Teachers are provided with a bi-monthly magazine, podcasts, videos, webinars, professional development information, interactive learning tools, scholarly articles, tips and tools, research briefs, resource lists, apps interactive media, graphics, curriculum guides, and training information.
