Through clinical studies, doctors find new and better ways to prevent, detect, diagnose, control, and treat illnesses. TrialsCentral.gov (http://clinicaltrials.gov//) ClinicalTrials.gov is a registry and results database of federally and privately supported clinical trials conducted in the United States and around the world. 

John Hopkins University Health and Medicine Research (http://webapps.jhu.edu/jhuniverse/research/health_medicine_research/) combines medical education with unsurpassed patient care, and is a leader in research from basic to translation.

Mayo Clinic (http://www.mayoclinic.com/ improves health care, offers new solutions and hope for patients. Mayo Clinic conducts basic, translational, clinical and epidemiological research at its three campuses in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota.
