What is the DF Bluford Data Visualization Competition?
The FD Bluford Data Visualization Competition is an opportunity to showcase your data visualization skills and celebrate how data are used at NC A&T.
The competition is designed to enhance digital information literacy with a special focus on data ownership to meet the 2025 Love Data Week theme: Whose data is it anyway?
Who is eligible to compete?
The competition is open to all NC A&T community members. Submissions will be organized and judged in three categories: Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students, and Faculty/Staff.
Submission Rules
We welcome submissions of all types. Submission can include (but are not limited to) maps, graphs, charts, artwork, and posters. Additionally, submissions can be static (e.g., a single graph) or interactive (e.g., shiny app).
The competition closes on Wednesday February 12th at 11:59pm.
Awards
Winners will be notified at the close of Love Data Week on February 14th and will be presented with an official winner certificate. Additionally, your data visualization will be showcased here for a full year until the 2026 Love Data Week competition.
