Student Research Posters

General Guidelines

Poster printing is available to all North Carolina A&T State University students who have been accepted to present a poster at a conference. Conference acceptance confirmation (e.g., conference acceptance letter, conference acceptance email notification, screenshot of conference program listing undergraduate researcher as presenter, etc.) must be uploaded when completing the poster printing request form. Below is a list of important guidelines that must be followed as you prepare your poster for submission:

  • Poster printing request form must be submitted at least five (5) days prior to your conference date. POSTERS WILL NOT BE PRINTED ON THE SAME DAY.

  • Printers are setup to print no wider than 36"; therefore, we strongly recommend that your poster dimensions are 36" x 48" (3ft x 4 ft) to ensure good proportions.

  • Multiple copies of the same posters will not be printed.

  • Posters can be designed using any method but must be submitted as a PDF. For example, if you created your poster in PowerPoint, you will need to save and submit your poster as a PDF: File > Save As > navigate to location to save the file and click the dropdown arrow to change format from .ppt to .pdf.

  • Posters will not be reprinted due to any mistakes related to improper formatting or poor image quality. Students are responsible for making necessary modifications to posters, proofreading, and ensuring accurate layout and image resolution before submitting the printing request form.

  • We are not responsible for cutting or trimming of posters. To avoid cutting or trimming, please follow the design tips or use one of the templates.

  • If students have questions about poster content and/or layout, please review the design tips and templates, contact your faculty mentor, or schedule an appointment with the Data Visualization Librarian Dr. Tommy Patterson (twpatterson@ncat.edu).
