Unit Mission
The Research, Instructional and Engagement Services (RIES) division/department of F.D. Bluford Library effectively advances the goals of the University and the Library by providing quality information resources and services for the North Carolina A&T State University Community.

RIES supports research, teaching, and learning by providing services such as information literacy instruction, scholarly communication, and virtual assistance to enhance the outcomes of on-campus and distance learning students and the research and teaching objectives of faculty and staff.

Virtual Reference Desk

Library Class Instruction

  • Course-related library instruction introduces students to research strategies and the essential information sources for a particular class or subject.
  • A librarian will work with you to schedule and develop an instructional session to meet the specific needs of the class. Please fill out the form, and a librarian will be in contact for confirmation and scheduling within 48 hours.

Individual Consultation

  • Make an appointment with your subject librarian to assist you with research. Please fill out the form, and a librarian will be in contact for confirmation and scheduling within 48 hours.
