LC Classification System

F.D. Bluford Library uses the Library of Congress Classification (LC) system to organize and arrange materials. The LC classification is used by most research and academic libraries in the U.S. This system uses a combination of letters and numbers to arrange materials by subjects.

If you want to come to the library to browse the shelves for your topics, consider these Call Number areas to start in:

  • E through F - History of the Americas
    (located on the 2nd floor).
  • U - Military Science

In recognition of the centennial of World War I, this guide is created to assist researchers and educators in finding information related to "The War To End All Wars" (1914 - 1918), with special attention to the role of NC A&T veterans, African Americans, and the men & women of North Carolina.
