Reference

Reference Department is located on the main floor of Bluford Library. It is the primary information center for the library.

Information literacy and library instructions are the most important part of the duties of reference. Other duties include:

  • answering research questions
  • providing current and easily-accessible materials to answer quick questions
  • instructing individuals, groups, and classes on the effective use of information sources such as the online catalog and databases. Additional information about library instruction is available at http://www.library.ncat.edu/services/instruction.html.

Materials in this collection include almanacs, dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks and manuals. Reference materials cannot be checked out.

Reference Department hours are:

Sunday 2.00p.m - 7.00p.m

Monday thru Thursday 9.00a.m - 7.00p.m.

Friday 9.00a.m. - 6.00pm

Saturday - Closed

 

 

Ready Reference

Ready Reference is located at the reference desk. Materials include those sources used frequently to answer information questions. Patrons are required to sign out materials and return them at the desk.
