Adaptive Technology Room

There is an Adaptive Technology Room (ADT) for patrons with special needs. The ADT room is located on the second floor, room 237, with software assistance such as: Zoom Text Magnification and Dragon Naturally Speaking. For access to this room, please check with a librarian at the Access Services Desk.

    • Computers that are located along the windows have both Jaws 12 and ZoomText 9.1.
    • Computer facing the wall has only built-in Windows features for users who need minimal assistance.
    • Computer with attached scanner has Jaws 12, ZoomText 9.1, Kurzweil 1000, and Dragon Naturally Speaking
    • Computer closest to the door has only ZoomText 9.1 Reader/Magnifier

The library's Tele Typewriter (TTY) – a device that uses text instead of voice to communicate via telephone lines is located on the main floor next to the Library Security Desk. TTY enables people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired to converse on the telephone by typing messages that are sent through the telephone network.
